I am so lucky to have a family whom can eat literally everything so I am really getting to try everthing literally and today I am on my take of a beef stir fry.
Let’s bring the Asian spices, oils and sauces to action.
To start with I must say that this is a super easy dish to make and it will take you less than 30 min to complete for sure so if you are in a hurry or have limited time to cook this could be a really great option. Without further wait, I give you…My stir fry:
Ingredients:
Beef steaks (I had 2 beef steack laying in the fridge so just cut them into thin stripes.
For the marinade: garlic, soy sauce, fish oil, soft brown sugar, ginger, sesame oil. I honestly don’t really measure, it’s all depending on each tastes, if you like it sweet, less soy sauce, if you like it more spicy, add chopped chilli, my ideal is not too sweet nor spicy, I have 2 little ones whom love spice but their stomach cant handle spicy like their daddy do 😊
So to cut it short: I used 3 cloves of garlic, 1 cup of soy sauce, half cup of sugar, Tbsp of freshly grounded ginger, 2 TBsp of sesame oil and 1 tsp of fish oil. Mix it up and add the beef strips mixed them all up.
In a pan dry fry a handful of cashew nuts, once nicely toasted take the wok out of the cupboard, a dash of cooking oil and tenderise one finally chopped onion. Add the marinated meat let it bubble, the sugar will caramelise, that s when I throw my veg: handful of chopped mushrooms, some green beans and 2 sliced carrots, I sprinkled some sesame seeds, made sure all veg and meat got well coated and adde a splash of dark soy sauce after tasting.
Last but not least a plate and add the cashew nuts..
Here you are a very easy beef stir fry, last minute cooked last minute served.
You can eat just like that or serve with rice.
I personally made a turmeric infused lemon grass rice and it was delish!
Bon appetit
